Using your Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express

Even though our online payment services are provided in partnership with PayPal to provide security and other benefits, you do NOT need a PayPal account to use our online payment options (unless your payment is greater than $2,500). You can use your Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express credit card directly, and get the benefits of your credit card rewards program for your WHS payments.

To use your Credit Card: When checking out, you’ll see a screen that looks like the following:

If you want to use your Credit Card, rather than a PayPal account:

• Leave the “Email” and “Password” boxes on the left EMPTY
• Click on “Continue” in the left-hand side, under “Don’t have a PayPal account? – Use your credit card”

You’ll then be asked to enter your credit card information. This should be simple and convenient. Note that your transaction is secure (through PayPal’s secure service) and your privacy is protected. Your credit card information is not shared with Welsh Hills School.

P.I.E. (Partners In Education) Online

We have a complete set of web pages for our P.I.E. (Partners In Education) organization and its activities. This includes PIE News, meeting dates, minutes, overview and mission statements, event calendar and descriptions, a listing of officers, a listing of this year’s room parents, and the entire PIE Handbook. Newsletters Available Online

All of our newsletters are available online through our website. This includes the weekly “Monday Memos”, the monthly “Good News at WHS”, and the semi-annual “Schoolhouse News”. Go to www.welsh-hills.org, then select “Headlines & Newsletters” under “News & Calendar”. (Or click here for the direct link to the Headlines & Newsletters page.) This page also has a current list of WHS headline news items of interest, including upcoming events at the school. The newsletters are available in .pdf format, readable with the standard Adobe Acrobat reader. You probably already have that on your computer, but if not, you can click on the icon on that page for “Get Adobe Reader” free of charge. Check out this page and come back often to stay current! Feel free to point other family members or friends to this page if they’d like to see our newsletters.

Check Out the Classroom Pages

We have refreshed all of our program classroom pages.  Go to www.welsh-hills.org and then to “Programs” and then select Toddler, Children’s House, Primary, Intermediate, Middle School, or Summer Camp.  We’ve added consistency across all the program pages, with each program having a Photo Album, a Classroom Calendar, a classroom Newsletter, and Program Information for prospective new families. Check it out!  Teachers will be updating these periodically throughout the year.

"From The Board" Communications

Each month the Board of Trustees provides a “From the Board” article in the “Good News at WHS” newsletter. In addition, there may be other types of communications from the board from time to time. All of these can be found on the Trustees page on our website. Go to www.welsh-hills.org and then select “Board of Trustees” under “About Welsh Hills”. (Or click here for the direct link to the Trustees page.) This page also shows the current Trustees with brief bio information. The Board is working hard to communicate openly and frequently, and hopes that this new addition to the website is one effective way to achieve that.  Check it out!

Directory of School Phone Numbers and Email Addresses

Need a phone number and extension for a teacher or staff member? Or need to send an email and need to know their address? We have an Online Directory that provides all this information. Got to www.welsh-hills.org and then select “Directory” under “Contact Us”. (Or click here for the direct link to the Directory page.) To send an email, you can click on the person’s name and an email window will pop up.

Online School Calendar

We have introduced a new online School Calendar on our website.  Go to www.welsh-hills.org and then select “School Calendar” under “News & Calendar”.  (Or click here for the direct link to the Online Calendar.) This shows a nice monthly view, plus you can click on most of the calendar appointments to get a pop-up window with additional information about the event.  This is convenient for us to keep up to date and hopefully provides a nice user interface for you.  We keep this up to date as events are added or updated on our school’s calendar.  Check it out frequently!

Note:  This Online School Caledar is the one you should trust if you see any differences compared to the At-A-Glance calendar.  Although the At-A-Grlance calendar is a great one-page summary and we try to keep it up to date, the fact is that this is a rather static .pdf file, compared to the easy-to-update Online Calendar referenced here.

Paying Welsh Hills Invoices Online

You can now pay any of your Welsh Hills Invoices online! We know that many people prefer the convenience of online bill payment these days, rather than writing checks, so we’ve added this as an option on our website. Go to www.welsh-hills.org and then select “Pay Invoice” under “Parents”. (Or click here for the direct link to the Pay Invoice page.) You can use your credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover) or your PayPal account if you have one. All transactions go through PayPal for processing, which also provides online security. Note that Welsh Hills will add a 2.9% processing fee, which is what we must pay PayPal for this service. When you check out, you’ll be given the opportunity to type in your Invoice Number and any other additional notes.

Online School Store Open

We’ve added an Online School Store on our website as an added convenience for our extended school family. This allows you to both order and pay for various school-related items online. You can purchase SCRIP certificates for Ross’s Granville Market, order the DVD of our Spring 2006 Aladin musical production, and you can order computer software at discounted educational prices (through a third party website). In the future we expect to make the Gala Auction tickets available online as well as raffle tickets and potentially WHS Logo Apparel. We know that many people prefer the convenience of online shopping these days. When you check out, you can indicate whether you’d like to pick up your items from school or whether you’d prefer to have them sent home in your child’s backpack. All transactions go through PayPal for processing, which also provides online security.
