About the Board
The Board of Trustees has ultimate responsibility for the school. It concerns itself with accounting for the use of tuition and other funds raised to support the school and its mission. It does so by raising funds, devising and controlling budgets, serving as the legally accountable body for Welsh Hills School, selecting a Head of School, and setting school policy. The Board does not involve itself with the daily operation of the school.
The Board is the guardian of the school’s mission. It is the Board’s responsibility to ensure that the mission is appropriate, relevant, and vital to the community it serves. The Board monitors the success of the school in fulfilling its mission. The Board and the Head of School work in partnership in fulfilling these principles. The Board is self-perpetuating, with its members being elected for renewable three-year terms. Members of the Board donate their time, services, and expertise.
