a program for children ages 9 - 12, equivalent to 4th through 6th grades

The educational environment for the Intermediate Program of Welsh Hills School is designed to allow students to proceed and be challenged at their own pace while making an educational transition from skill acquisition to skill application. Children in this program work both individually and with others to meet their needs as they excel in some areas while taking the time they need to better develop in others.

Our academic program addresses the need for children to continue enhancing their abilities to read, write, and compute with proficiency. Additionally, Intermediate students benefit from the Learning with Laptops program where a personal laptop computer is an everyday learning tool, both at school and at home.

Field trips, guest speakers and collaborative projects within our school and the outside community, enhance each student's school experience.
