CHILDREN'S HOUSE PROGRAM
(Early Education)
a program for children ages 3 - 6
Our "Children's House" is a Montessori Early Education program. We follow the Montessori philosophy and methodology which engages and empowers our youngest students in the process of learning.
In our beautifully prepared environment, children use many materials and gain exposure to concepts and skills at their own rate as they develop individual learning styles.
Teachers daily give group and individual presentations of new exercises in practical living skills, sensorial activities, language development and mathematics. Additional areas for growth and development include arts and crafts, music and rhythm, nature study, geography, creative and dramatic play, walks, field trips and supervised outdoor play. They are always available to help meet the children's needs and assist in solving problems. They set an example in words and actions, creating a warm and understanding atmosphere. Children are continually observed at work and play, allowing teachers to determine readiness for new activities.
In all areas, the Montessori method provides children with enjoyable experiences as it prepares them to meet the joys and challenges of life.
The School's Curriculum Guide is available by request, or can be downloaded here.
