Following is a list of many of the events that PIE will be sponsoring throughout the school year. This is not an exhaustive list and we will welcome your ideas and suggestions throughout the year. And, of course, dates and events are subject to change. The remainder of specific dates and parent leader names are coming soon... Please check back.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL—Sat August 25, 2007
You won’t want to miss this event! It’s a great way for parents and students to get a chance to meet and interact before the school year starts. FIRST DAY COFFEE—Mon August 27, 2007
Stop by the porch after dropping off your child for coffee and fresh baked goods. PIE Coffees are informal gatherings and an opportunity to talk with other families and staff.

PIZZA LUNCH—ALL YEAR—Calling all Volunteers . . .
Help serve everyone’s favorite lunch of the week every Friday throughout the school year. Babies and toddlers are welcome to join in the fun! Pizza lunch is every Friday from 11am—1pm. Involves ordering the pizza, cutting some vegetables, plating vegetables and cookies and coordinating the children who will be helping distribute food to their classrooms. If you would be willing to help one Friday a month or for a whole month, please contact Elaine Fancelli at 924-8795

LASAGNA DINNER —Friday Sept 7, 2007
Don’t miss our family dinner at school. This is a great “friend-raising” event. If you are interested in helping cook for this event, contact Laura Brown at 522-2020 or lbrown@laca.org.

SCHOOL PICTURES—Weds September 19, 2007
Individual pictures, class pictures and whole school pictures will be taken on this day. They are usually taken outside with a greenery backdrop. Detailed information will be sent home with your child. If you are interested in helping with last minute grooming and coordinating the children for their pictures, please contact TBD.

GRANDFRIEND’S DAY— Fri October 26, 2007
Grandparents and other special friends are invited to spend time at WHS with their favorite students. Call your grandparents or special friend now and give them the date. This is a treasured memory for children and grandparents alike. PIE sponsors a craft or activity as part of this special day. Contact TBD for more information or to volunteer for this event.

SHOP-A-ROUND and COOKIE WALK -- Sat December 1, 2007
Come shop for the holidays with all your favorite home party shows in one place! Silpada jewelry, Longaberger, Creative Memories, Mary Kay and so on. We fill the Great Room with wonderful products and in turn, for our sales volume, receive products that we auction at our Spring Fundraiser.
Also new this year, make your holidays easier come buy cookies at the Cookie Walk. A large assortment of homemade cookies will be there to enjoy.

DAD’S DAY BREAKFAST— Thurs January 10, 2008
Mark your calendars Dad’s! Children love to bring their dads (or special friend) with them to school for a morning feast. Contact TBD if you are a Mom or grandparent willing to help cook or serve

MUFFINS WITH MOM—Thurs April 10, 2008
Moms also get a special morning with their favorite student for breakfast! Mark your calendar and plan to attend and create some lasting memories and enjoy some yummy muffins and yogurt parfaits. Contact TBD if you are a Dad or grandparent willing to help cook or serve.

SPRING AUCTION FUNDRAISER—Sat April 19, 2008
Join us as we celebrate Spring with our largest fundraiser of the year. This is a fun-filled evening of food, games, prizes and silent and live auctions all to benefit the school. If you like party planning, we can use many volunteers for this event. Contact TBD for more information

TEACHER APPRECIATION— Week of May 5 - 9, 2008
PIE enjoys giving back the same loving attention our children receive through the year. We provide gourmet breakfasts and lunches as well as small gifts throughout the week. Contact TBD to share ideas or volunteer for this giving week

SPRING MULCH AND FLOWER SALE—April & May, 2008
Order mulch and plants at school for your spring beautification projects. The mulch can be delivered for a small fee (it’s well worth it!). Prices are reasonable. Look for the order sheets in the spring. Call Tyler Brown at 504-4334 for more information
