Learning With Laptops

Part of the school's mission is to prepare students for a lifetime of learning, the opportunity to make the laptop computer a learning tool alongside a pencil, notebook, and textbook is a unique one for students who attend Welsh Hills School.  All Intermediate and Middle School students have laptops and integrate them into their Welsh Hills educational experience.

The School has been recognized as a pioneer school in the Notebooks for Schools program, and was co-sponsored by Microsoft and Toshiba. The program's "anywhere, anytime" philosophy fits the integrated learning program at WHS where application of higher order thinking skills is an integral part of each day.

Welsh Hills School is a "wireless community" enabling students to access the internet, share files, and access other networked devices anywhere in the building, with no clumsy cables or wires. This makes it even more convenient for students to use their laptops as learning tools, wherever they happen to be doing their work.
