I am excited to welcome you to Welsh Hills School.  On the many web pagers here you will see a school that is alive with activity, learning, challenge and wonderful interactions among everyone here.

Welsh Hills School has always been dedicated to providing an educational environment that invites students to participate in their learning. It expects children to build on their knowledge through a strong curriculum and their own exploration and discovery.  Welsh Hills School is fortunate to have a strong and enthusiastic faculty who looks at each child from various developmental views, and engages each child in the process of their own learning and growth as an individual.

I invite you to come and see what happens here firsthand. I always say that this school is so much more “a show” than “a tell”.  We welcome visitors to each of our programs beginning with our Montessori Children’s House where the facility and activities invite small hands to take hold and explore.  We want people to see the magic that happens as we move the Montessori methodology into our Primary Program and children are now classifying the Animal and Plant Kingdoms into their group and phylum; into the Intermediate Program where every child has and uses a laptop to create and conquer both academic and technology skills; and finally into the Middle School where there are no limits on learning and a high degree of expectation for self-management and preparedness for high school.

Mostly I invite you to see the wonderful and respectful interactions that take place between and among students of all ages, teachers, administrators and parents. We work hard to teach children the value of being a kind, caring and honorable individual who has both needs to be fulfilled and gifts to offer others.
