Physical Education
Welsh Hills School promotes fitness for a lifetime through development of expressive and effective movement, age-appropriate skills, and learning of health-enhancing behaviors. Students learn and exhibit the attributes of good sportsmanship.

Our younger students (Children's House and Primary) are instructed by Amparo at the Welsh Hills School, enjoying outdoor activities in warm weather and indoor activities in the Great Room.
The kids enjoy a wide variety of physical activities including soccer, capture the flag, kickball, basketball, jogging, tumbling, bean bags, jump ropes, and many others.

Our older students (Intermediate and Middle School) go to Denison twice a week (depending on our ability to arrange with Denison) to use the university's outstanding facilities. Scott (who is also New Albany's high school men's lacrosse coach) is the primary P. E. teacher, partnering with a Denison student.
Students enjoy a wide variety of activities including swimming, indoor volleyball, outdoor sand volleyball, tennis, flag football, basketball, floor hockey, soccer, capture the flag, and kickball. The students also participate in the Presidential Physical Fitness program.
In Our Library...
Our library is a PEACEFUL AND FRIENDLY PLACE for hearing stories, curling up with a book, doing research, borrowing and even making our own books! The rug near " Easy Reader Island" is where Children's House and Primary Students gather to hear stories and learn library etiquette.

Our library is USER FRIENDLY. All students are learning to find the books they want, and to check them out and back into the library with a high degree of independence.
Intermediate and Middle School students have been a great help practicing their library skills while shelf reading and making sure the books are in their proper places.
